After much contemplation I bought Kahr K9. I was reading that they are pretty tight and require 200 rounds break-in. My new gun was tight and had plenty of oil in it. I have removed oil, and lubricated rails with white synthetic lube. Then I replaced the original black guide rod with the stainless one that I have ordered from Kahr's web site. Slide to frame fit was tight with no lateral motion. I have racked slide a few times to make sure that it moves freely. Everything looked and felt good.
Today I took it to the range. My Kahr has regular I & Dot sights. I ran it through 200 rounds. Initially I was aiming at 6 o'clock position, but was shooting way too low (about 4" at 10 yards) with both 115 (S&B) and 124 (AE) loads. Then I tried to cover the center with the dot, but still was shooting low. After about 150 rounds either I adapted to my gun/trigger or something happened because point of impact started approaching point of aim with dot covering point of aim. At round 196 I got a malfunction. Shell case failed to eject and got pinned between slide and barrel facing outward, sort of like it happens on the last round with NAA Guardian. I suspect that my hand was getting tired and I was holding gun way too relaxed…. Anyway, I cleared that without any problems and finished my last 3 rounds.
When I brought my gun home and started cleaning I have noticed that all tightness was gone. Shaking side to side produced obvious movement of the slide. I could hear clicking noise. I was a bit surprised by the amount of lateral movement considering that before range visit there was none. Cleaning went relatively easy. Black residue did not stick and was easy to remove.
Overall I am pretty happy with the gun, although trigger and aiming requires some adaption relatively to my other guns. Although, maybe, that initial low point of impact was due to gun being overly tight and not broken-in … I guess I'll see on my next range visit….

Good to hear from you again Taliyev.
Odd that you noticed such a difference in slide tolerance after just one range trip. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing, as long as the barrel locks up tight to the slide.
I took my son out to the range this afternoon. We just perforated a few tin cans with .22 rifles. I poked holes in some paper with the Henry levergun, and gave the HiPower a little exercise too. The shotgun is a favorite of his for some reason. Just a Rem 870, but he gets a "kick" out of the 3" magnum. The girls stuck arrows in the archery range, and my wife was taken for a walk by the dog. An excellent Easter Sunday I'd say.

I am sure the gun is OK. It is just out of my 13 autos it now rattles the most, and it only took 200 rounds to make it this loose.. and it is my newest handgun. The gun wobbles with and without mag and with and without round in the chamber. I did all of my Kahr shooting before Easter. The holiday weekend I've spent without firing firearms, although my daughter spent some time at the range with her Sig P229 and had to clean it afterwards

I am having a problem editing and creating messages on this forum. Whenever I try to edit text, system throws me out of editing screen and into list of messages. I tried it with IE, Firefox and Chrome and all browsers do the same thing.... The only thing that seems to work is "Post Quick Reply" area...
Am I the only one with this problem?

Many of us have been having problems since Proboards upgraded and "improved" the software.

Is there a trick that makes things work?
When I go into edit mode, and do mouse click in the area of editing or try to type without mouse clicking, system shoots out into listing of messages without even giving me a chance to type anything... I can post messages from Quick Reply area, like I do now, but Edit screen is broken in three different browsers... for me anyway...

Replying to messages isn't a problem with quick reply, but I haven't been able to reply to PMs for quite a while now.

.....I have been raising pure hell about this new automatic upgrade. Sometimes; I use the Firefox browser with better results...but it goes wrong...Then, I go back to the IE browser, and it allows me to create Threads. I'll try to do what I can to attempt fix again.
