....I shot mostly .45 acp, in my 1911 Pistols at the range, and when I began seeing the shortage, I laid off of shooting. My stockpile of ammunition remains intact for self defensive applications...boxed in clear plastic cases.

I've been shooting much less too. I used to shoot .22 to save money, now I shoot .45 since it's easier to get.

The shortage has finally hit Canada as well. Most cal's are in stock but prices have gone up quite a bit it seems. The only hard to get ammo is still the CCI SV in 22cal which I use a lot of it for my target practice. Actually most brands are hard to get with the exception of the cheap Remington Garbage stuff. I don't shoot my 44 or 45 all that often but do have lots in stock for both of them.
