Viruses in general are scary because of the fact that they are resistant to antibiotics. Although you can die from any virus, Ebola is especially scary because of the horrible way that you did.
So I'm sitting here in India thinking about heading back to Dallas in a couple days and glad that I'm flying from India. Then it dawned on me: I have to change plans in Doha, Qatar. All Qatar Airways flights either come into or depart from Doha. That means that on the flight from Doha to Dallas I could be sitting next to someone that just flew into Doha from West Africa and has the virus. I'm on a 787 from Delhi to Doha so there won't be anyone sitting next to me because of the way the aircraft is configured, but there will be on the 777 from Doha. Then of course there is the fact that my bladder will not go for 16 hours in the air with out getting emptied.
Alan Colms, proved what an idiot he is by saying on Fox News that all they have to do is check peoples' temperatures before they get on the plane. So someone is exposed, but doesn't have symptoms is still allowed to come to the US. This is exactly what happened with the man that is in Dallas.

I hope they are cremating the remains of the victims wherever they may be as to stop this Virus from spreading. I would think Cremation would destroy the Bacteria from the heat of the burning process. The man in Texas who brought it to the USA should be held accountable for his attempt too cover up where he was visiting while over seas. He has caused many people here great harm wether he meant to or not. To me he is liable for their problems as well. Hopefully it does not hit your native country at all.

I have just read where they figure by Jamuary there may be as many as 1.4 million cases of Ebola world wide. That Country has to be totally isolated now to prevent the further outbreak of this disease from spreading. There should be a NO travel or Visitation allowed into it until the last case is cured. This is a more serious threat then ISIS at the moment.

We may have one case in Canada as they are watching a sick person in Montreal area I believe who was travelling abroad. I also understand we may have a really good vaccine to defeat this disease here in Canada as well. Lets hope we do as I know we will share it with the world. That is our way up here.

Be careful Tman. I just returned from near Cancun, and there's not much personal space in those flying tubes. My wife insists on wiping downthe tray tables with an antiseptic cloth. Not a bad idea considering.

I also hope you and your families are well as we don't need any of this disease bothering any of our members especially you. Hopefully they will get this under control before very long. Your wife may be correct in taking these precautions to protect you both. Anything we can do to kill bacteria is a good thing. It protects us all in the long run.

MLB, I do the same thing that your wife does. I also use wipes after returning from the rest-room. I find it unbelievable that they now will not let the health-care workers that took care of Duncan fly, but yet they still let people from West Africa fly. We are governed by idiots that were voted in by morons.

Blame starts at the very top which is in the White House. If he cared about the American people or people of north America period he would have issued flying bans on folks coming from certain Countries already but that would take a brain. To me its just more proof in what he lacks as a leader.
