.....Regardless what you have read, or heard, The 357 sig case Isn't a Necked Down .40 S&W Case. The 357 sig case was designed with thicker case walls than a .40case, to handle the higher pressure cartridge than a 40. .....I posted this, on another forum : Feb 2008 - Although the 357 sig case resembles that of a necked down .40 case; The 357 sig case is actually constructed with thicker case walls than the .40 S&W.
