I don't know, but if that is her concealed carry weapon, I sure wouldn't want her to hit me with her purse.
I bet she never has a problem with sexual harassment.

Looks like an antique 12ga revolver.
Talk about a wrist breaker.

Dirty Harry meets Crocodile Dundee....
Dirty Harry: "The .44 magnum. The most powerful hangun in the world..."
Crocodile dundee: "You call that a gun? That's not a gun.... (brandishes the above pictured monstrosity) Now THAT's a gun!"

The top break latch looks familiar, but the cylinder rings no bells with me; It does look British.

That looks like a .450 adams or a .455 webley but the bullet looks too short. Could be larger. Maybe up to .65 and 2" long? Definitely centerfire and 4(?) shots. I agree with DA, It looks British, or possibly Belgian. The hinge reminds me of an English double. Manual extraction, and it looks like manual index of the cylinder as well. Cool the way the top strap completes the support for the brass case. Rimmed cart. The trigger looks single action.
I don't think it's a Howda, they were double pistols, sort of like short shotguns. Think of an english double rifle in miniature with a pistol grip.
You've got me strumped. From the clues I'd guess 1850 to 1880. The centerfire tends to lean late in that period, but the manual extraction tends to lean early. I seem to recal that some in the African campaigns disliked automatic extractors so that could be a clue, I don't know.

Do not let the small hands of the lady fool your perception; The Howda would make this one look like a mouse gun. I'm thinking that the bullets ressemble the French Arcane pistol bullet in the .45. Detonics made some top breaks, but I haven't seen this one.
