Last year I bought a like new in the case Ruger P95 9mm, and I had some misfires. I called Ruger and then took my P95 to my dealer and he sent it to Ruger, and I believe they replaced the hammer block and sent it back. I shot about 20 rounds through it and it seemed ok. Well today I took it out and I had a misfire with Winchester white box ammo. I rechambered the round and it fired, and I shot several more rounds through it without a problem. It's just hard to put much confidence in it. I called Ruger and they're supposed to call me back tomorrow.

If you examine the cartridge can you tell if you are getting a good center strike on the primer? Did the slide appear to be in the proper position?
I've had the same problem with Winchester USA twice in my Glock, but never my Rugers.

9MM, I had this problem last year when I bought it with S&B ammo. and Remington UMC. The firing pin doesn't hit the primer at all. Ruger replaced the safety block. It worked ok for about 20 rounds, then yesterday I took it out and had a misfire with Winchester USA ammo. P.S. Look at my new thread "Ruger Customer Service.... Awsome!!!".
