I was just ont he Sig Forum site, and read a thread regarding factory re-furb Sigs? Has anyone seen this at any gun shop?
I have seen pre-owned, but never a "re-furb". the consensus was that these "re-furbs" were just as good at cost much less than the brand new, if so, yes I wouldn't mind looking into buying one in that condition, but wanted to know if anyone has seen this before.

They have been through the QA process twice, are work hardened, and cheaper to boot. Yep, better than new!

Now if I could only spot one or find one in store that has been sitting there long enough for me to buy!

An Army-Navy store, where I live, has a a load of the Law Enforcement turn ins, but they are asking as much for those that I've found on the Pre-Owned, like new, markets. I'm presently in the process of negotiating a price with a guy on a German Sig Sauer 220, in .45acp, with 8 factory magazines. The pistol is like new, and he has never fired it since buying it 18 months ago. I'm standing firm at $500. because I want the magazines, more than the gun, I have three 220s already.

In md they have to sell refurbs because I dont think they have an internal lock so you cant sell a new gun without one.

Garumn:
Do you mean they have no manual safety?

No I mean they dont have the Internal lock like a trigger lock but you actually put the key in the gun to lock the hammer from moving. Both my Taurus and Bersa have these. In the state of md all guns must be sold with a trigger lock and must now have the Internal lock. Some manufacturers refuse to put this lock in just for a few states so those states sell factory refurbs. You dont need an Internal lock on a used gun just the trigger lock.

Oh! I getcha. I have a Bersa and a SiG but neither one has a lock so I tend not to think about 'em!
