Funny thing. I was doing a google search to make sure I spelled "cimarron" correctly for another post (I didn't by the way), and came across the following site: www.cimarron-firearms.com/Never heard of them. Anyone else?

ML; These guys at Cimarron has been taking the Italian Single Action clones, from which they have been creating highly detailed reproductions. Cimarron has also gained enough clout through the Italian manufacturers that they have brought about the reproduction of several versions of the single action revolvers of the old west. Cimarron has become a one stop shop source for the single action, cowboy, and old west re-enactment enthusiast. Their Doc Holiday rig is very nice.

You know, I had heard of them before, but I got them mixed up with Comanche (quality ?) therefore, I'd dismissed them. I'll take another look.

John Taffin wrote an article called " The Cimarron Story" in the August '93 Issue of GUNS Magazine. If you can find this article on the internet, along with the accompanying photos by Ichiro Nagata, you will surely be impressed. I had ordered one on Cimarron's catalogs during the popularity of the movie "Tombstone" , and still have it. The Cimarrons are knowned for thier detailed reproduction authenticity to the 1st generation pre 1900 Colt Single Action, all the way down to the front sight. TMan; If your looking for single actions with true cased hardening, look no further, Cimarron Arms has what your looking for. Cimarron and Navy arms are two of the best choices when looking for authentic reproductions of the old west single actions.
