When I got up this morning, there was nothing on my handgun wish list; it has been empty since I got the H&K MK23. The Shot Show came to my rescue. Here is my updated list: Chiappa Rhino Coonan Arms 357 Magnum 1911 Kel-Tec's PMR30 22 Magnum pistol Masterpiece Arms MP930SST-XTaurus Raging Judge Magnum 454Casull/410GA/45LC
Masterpiece Arms MP22T-A .22 pistol Modifed to delete the MP930SST-X because I just remembered I had one similar and the trigger slap was very uncomfortable.

Ah, another MLB recommended handgun in the TMan stable. Hope the Rhino is at least interesting.
A 357mag 1911. Odd concept, it being a rimmed cartridge.
I'll have to look these up.

Add another one to my list: EAA Witness Hunter that also comes out of the Tanfoglio Custom Shop, but it has a 6" barrel. Downside, for me, is that it is 45ACP or 10MM only. If you have read some of my previous posts, you will know that I'm a big fan of the Tanfoglio version of the CZ-75. www.eaacorp.com/handguns-hunting-pistols.html

I have no handguns specifically on my 2010 list. There are a few on THE list though. I also have a number of rifle projects to work on.
I did get a little .17cal rifle recently, doesn't count for handguns though.

I can't believe that TMan actually has a "Wish List"; I would like to see his grocery list !!

That is really easy since I'm on this crazy diet: ;D
1) Steak (Cheap because I'm only allowed 3.5oz/serving) 2) Chicken (Again 3.5oz and breast only) 3) Salad (Guess what - 3.5oz and no salad dressing 2tbls/day of cider vinegar) 4) Apples (1/day) 5) Oranges (1/day)

1) Steak (Cheap because I'm only allowed 3.5oz/serving) quote] I've seen some pretty expensive small cuts of meat before. Since you are allowed 3.5oz, why not go for the best?

Believe it or not, you can get tired of eating filet mignon. I've been getting these pre-packaged 10oz, bacon-wrapped filets at the grocery store for $5.99. So, each one (two in a package) after removing the big strip of bacon, comes out to amost exactly 3.5oz. I'm only supposed to eat lean meat, and I picked up some local hamburg meat that is 95% lean. Since I'm allowed a tablespoon of olive oil, I finely chopped up some green pepper and onion, and fried it with the meat, along with some spices. Getting back to the thread topic: you can scratch the EAA Witness Hunter off my wish-list.

Doesn't take you long to complete your list, does it? If it breaks into the 20's this weekend, I'll head out to the shop and hopefully get some progress done on my my project list.

TMan is making me hungry, every time I pull up this topic.
My Mother used to buy those frozen bacon wrapped filet mignon, and let me alone while she shopping. ;D ;D
I will have to ask my wife to pick up some.

While I don't think I could stand to watch 10 minutes of a chef show like "Emeril", I stumbled upon "Good Eats" on the food network with Alton Brown once, and now it's one of my favorite shows. The mixture of humor, science, and cooking is good stuff.
My daughter was watching an episode showing the preparation of steak au pauve (pepper covered filet), and said she'd like to try. It's one of our favorite things to do together. Look it up! Even an engineer can do it. Fillet mignon dinner for 10 for about $30.

OK, here is another one that I want: It is an 1847 Walker by Cimarron, well probably manufactured in Italy by Uberti. The frame is case-hardened, but the trigger guard and backstrap are brass. It is 44 Caliber, and it weighs 4.5lbs. Don't think I'll be carrying that concealed. I would need suspenders for sure.

TMan; At one time, Colt had contracted Uberti to build their reproduction cap & ball revolvers. I would like to one with the Richardson Conversion, to where I could fire center fire cartridges .

DA, I have plenty of guns that fire centerfire cartridges. What interests me in these is the shooting of the blackpowder. What doesn't interest me is the cleaning up afterwards. I'm much more anal about cleaning up then I am when shooting smokeless powder.
Funny think that in spite of watching so many westerns as a kid, I don't recall ever seeing anyone load one of these things.
Becky ordered the Walker for me, and hopefully I'll be able to pick it up next week. I'm going to be extremely busy for the next couple of weeks, and it will probably stretch into the next couple of months. Lots of damage here in addition to the normal amount of work. Just the income taxes is going to take a solid week or more. Oh yeah, and then there are the winter olympics for anytime that I'm just too tired to work.

I only saw one actor load one; Clint Eastwood in "Pale Rider". Clint did what a lot had done in those days, he carried an extra fully loaded cylinders. Look at it on The 3:00 minute mark

I've got something similar, but it hasn't been fired in decades. Once I get through some of my current gun projects, I'm thinking of building a couple black powder pistols and muzzle loaders.

5OT, you didn't say what it was. It looks a little like the 1858 Army.

The gun is made by Manhattan Firearms Company, made sometime about 1861-1864. .36cal. It is a copy of the Colt Navy. Colt's patent on the Navy expired in 1856...and the copies ensued.
